Located in Carleton Place (40 minutes south west of downtown Ottawa) is the Beckwith trail network. Arriving into Carleton Place via highway 7, the trailhead is located at the end of the gravel road (McNeely Ave.) adjacent to the Home Depot.
| The trail network is broken up into six branches made up of crushed gravel (as seen in adjacent picture - McGregor Branch). In total the trail network is close to 9 Km long and crosses a series of private and public land. The crushed gravel make the trails ideal for dog walking, jogging and biking, the trails are accessible year-round. Each branch has well defined signage with the distance for its section of the trail network. The scenery can be described as rural country side mixed with some forest sections (Shady & CJ's branch).
